According to the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology, eating a handful of nuts a day is great for your own nuts.
Cashews, almonds, walnuts…
Have your pick.
We’ll get into the details in a second.
But first take a look at what these researchers found.
They took 119 healthy young men between the ages of 18 to 35…
And had half of them eat 1/3 cup of nuts a day.
After 14 weeks, the researchers found men with the daily nut diet had 16% higher sperm counts, 4% more sperm vitality, and 6% higher sperm motility.[R]
While nuts are high in healthy fats that your body uses as fuel to create hormones like testosterone…
One of the researchers, Dr. Albert Salas-Huetos proposed another mechanism behind the masculine boosting effects of nuts.
“The beneficial effects could possibly be explained by a reduction in the sperm DNA fragmentation,” he said.
Pollution, smoking and western-style diets are some of the factors linked to a general decline in quantity and quality of human sperm in industrialized countries.
So start adding in this delicious snack to your daily diet.
One word of warning though…
Nuts are calorically dense and can be extremely easy to overeat.
We recommend taking out a 1/3 measuring cup and scooping out your favorite nut from the bag to snack on.
